Curious how you can search for service learning designated courses in MyZou? Try these methods to get the most up-to-date list of courses for your major or minor.
Our cumulative list can be found at CEL Courses. Note: Some courses in that list are not currently offered or can be offered in different semesters.
There are two ways: from MyZou Class Search or MyZou Schedule Planner
Search MyZou
1. Go to MyZou: Class Search
a. In Student Center, under “Academics”, select “Search”
b. You should see the page below. Under ‘Term’, make sure you have selected the correct semester
c. Circled is the Additional Search Criteria drop down.
2. Select ‘Additional Search Criteria’
a. Once expanded, you will see ‘Course Attribute’ at the bottom. Select the drop down and choose “Service Learning” at the bottom of the list.
3. Add ‘Undergraduate’ to Course Career if not entering any other criteria
a. The search requires 2 sets of criteria, type this in to fulfill that.
b. Hit the blue ‘Search‘ button at the bottom
4. View all Service Learning Designated Courses by Semester
a. If you searched broadly, there will be a long list of sections (40+). Make sure you searched the criteria below. Remember that this list can change many times throughout the semester, email CEL@missouri.edu if you have questions
Search MyZou Schedule Planner
1. Go to MyZou Schedule Planner
a. In Student Center, under “Academics”, select “Schedule Planner”
b. Answer the criteria you are looking for (term, length, etc)
c. You should see the ‘Build Schedule’ page of Schedule Planner. Select “Add Course” under ‘Courses’
2. Select ‘Search By Attribute’
a. You will land on ‘By Subject’. Select ‘Search By Attribute‘
3. Select ‘Attribute’ and choose “Service Learning”
a. In the drop down of ‘Attribute’ you will see “Service Learning” at the bottom of the list
4. View all Service Learning Designated Courses by Semester
a. Here, you can also search for specific subjects or values. But if you leave them blank you can view the entire list of courses in the ‘Course’ drop down!
b. Select the courses that interest you and add them to your course planner to see if they fit in your schedule. Ask your advisor for more information
